Located in the heart of the Vallée d'Aulps, in Haute-Savoie, the resort of Morzine offers wide open spaces dedicated to escape and relaxation and a ski area ideal for families.
A family destination for a mountain holiday
With the opening of the "Grand Hôtel", the first hotel built in the 1920s, the village of Morzine opened up to tourism and gradually turned to winter sports. The Pléney cable car was inaugurated in 1934 and marked the beginning of the ski resort.
As winter sports continued to develop, the people of Morzine sought to create a larger area. The Avoriaz massif, close to Morzine, was exploited to create a much larger area. In addition, the proximity of Champéry and Les Crozets allowed Morzine-Avoriaz to expand the existing Portes du Soleil area even further.
Morzine opens the doors to a ski area accessible to all, with no less than 285 runs spread over 650km. This means that young and old alike can enjoy the pleasures of the mountains in the best possible conditions.

With its many facilities, the resort-village of Morzine guarantees a pleasant and busy stay, in summer and winter.
Downhill, cross-country or hiking skiing, snowmobiling, yooning, sledging, ski joëring, snowshoeing for winter sports enthusiasts; or mountain biking,
or mountain biking, scootering, white water activities, via ferrata, climbing, paint ball, golf, trail riding, or horse riding for those who prefer the mountains in summer.
But whatever your favourite season, in Morzine you can also go ice-skating, paragliding, hiking and relaxing at the Palais des Sports, the leisure centre in the Parc des Dérêches, which offers a wide range of facilities and activities.
